I'm so sorry to be late but we had huge computer problems, it completely crashed again!
And since we don't know how long it will take to fix it my husband instaled our old computer. But when I wanted to post here it didn't work. So I called my husband again and hopefully it will work now.But I lost my info about my october swap partner. I hope that it can be emailed to me again.
I guess from now on when I received that kind of information I will print it out right away.
Thanks ,
Monique.

October Sign Ups
WOW...can you believe that October is almost here already? I hope everyone had a wonderful September Swap. I know my month was extremely busy and Becky your package is going into the mail this week!
As usual if you want to swap in October then comment here and I will add you to the October Swap list...The theme for this month will be a lot of fun because you have a huge selection with the stores all decked out for the Halloween holiday.
October: Halloween is at the end of the month so I think doing a Halloween theme will work out. Some trivia: Orange and black are Halloween colors because orange is associated with the Fall harvest and black is associated with darkness and death, although I love black and I do not associate it with death at all. Jack o’ lanterns originated in Ireland where people placed candles in hollowed-out turnips to keep away spirits and ghosts on the Samhain holiday. Pumpkins come in white, blue, and green. Tootsie Rolls were the first wrapped penny candy in America. 90% of parents admit to sneaking goodies from their kids’ Halloween trick-or-treat bags.
And a cute Joke: How do you fix a jack-o-lantern?
[Ans: With a pumpkin patch. LOL LOL LOL]
You will send your partner:
1. A pattern related to any Halloween decoration or theme or something with a fall theme if your partner does not like Halloween.
2. The yarn to complete your project
3. All the notions required to complete the project
4. An orange or black or black and orange pair of socks or anklets
5. A bag of candy [wrapped]
6. A surprise Halloween or Autumn gift that you think your partner might like
Have fun and remember the package needs to be mailed by the end of the month and you must include at least all the above items to swap!!!

Show and Tell
Big thank you's to Samantha for the box of goodies I received yesterday! I must tell you how nice it was to get a surprise box on a Monday!!! You did a great job Samantha and I loved everything.
Inside the box was a great pattern for an afghan and enough red yarn to complete it. Our bedroom is red, so it will go beautifully!!! I got some baby Bernat yarn to make some cute baby sets for my service project to benefit abandoned and drug addicted babies! That is always a welcome item! There was a project book that had some awesome patterns which I will try this winter. I L-O-V-E-D the stationary set, beautiful PINK (my favorite color) writing pen and some cute "as all get out" sticky notes and flags which I will be using at work. I am sure they will drive my male supervisor crazy!!!
Samantha also made me a wonderful black wrap which will definitely be put to great use when it gets chilly here in VA! Thank you, thank you, thank you Samantha! The box you sent is very appreciated and will be put to good use! (My baby kitty, Thomas Jefferson loves my wrap and wants to be the boyfriend of your cat!)

'Thank you's' and 'I'm sorry's'
I received my package yesterday from Lisa M. I can't post pictures right now because my computor crashed and I don't have access to my pictures. However, it included the largest journal I have ever seen!! But I ABSOLUTELY love it! A crochet booklet, a wonderful wonderful cook book, 2 skeins of Fun Fur yarn, A box of Dove Milk Chocolate-FABULOUS!!, 3 Susan Bates Quicksilver hooks in excellent sizes for my Amigurumi, and last but certainly not least a Brittany Hook. It's a decorative, wooden crochet hook in my favorite size!
THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH LISA! I do love the hook and everything else as well.
Also Marylyn-Your Package is getting mailed out tomorrow. I am so sorry for the delay. I certainly hope it will be worth your wait. Not sure how long shipping will take from the states...let me know when you get it. My apologies!
