In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson signed a joint resolution of Congress recommending that Congress and the executive branch of government recognize the observance of Mother's Day.

- A pattern for 1 project, EX: shawl or shrug, or cape, or poncho
- Enough yarn for the project
- All the notions required
- A Mother's Day card or a birthday card [for your partner to use, so do not write in it]
- A package of seeds and a small pot
- A photo album
- An "old times" good Mother's Day DVD movie, like Gone with the Wind, or An Affair to Remember, or an old Betty Davis movie, there are tons that are priced $1 and some in black and white [try any Kmart or Walmart for cheaper prices]
