Kool Aid Dye Jobs

This is my attempt at self striping yarn. It was a barrel of laughs, and a couple of tears when it tangled after it was dry and I tried to wind it up. Whew!! But I did get it, haven't tried knitting it yet tho, so I don't know how wide the stripes will be. This was knitpicks Pallet yarn. I think it's pretty, will let you all know when I knit something with it.

The yarn looks great! It's certainly as good looking as any hand dyed yarn I've seen.

I've never tried Kool Aid - I have never seen it over here. (must join an exchange/swap for that actually).

I have used Wilton's Colour Food Paste to dye with and that was fun!

It's a pain when the yarn gets tangled. Although I tied off the skein before working on it, the knotty-ness came when it came to winding it up and I feel your pain. When I was ready to ball mine up I forgot one rather important detail - how the heck I was going to do it as I don't have a swift! But I managed.

:)
